Services Rooted in Connection, Guided by Research

Services for Individuals and Families

  • Individual psychotherapy is a collaborative process between a therapist and a client, aimed at helping the client explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to foster personal growth, emotional well-being, and guide through a process of change.

In my practice, I seek to provide a safe, consistent and confidential space necessary for this exploration unique to the specific needs of each individual. Challenges may include but are not limited to trauma, anxiety, difficulties in relationship, divorce, grief and loss and significant milestones in development.

Services can be in person or virtual via Zoom.

  • Family coaching and support across the developmental lifespan addresses the changing dynamics and needs within families, from raising young children to caring for aging parents. It provides guidance to strengthen relationships, navigate transitions, and foster resilience across generations. This approach honors each family member’s role and stage of life, promoting connection and well-being throughout the lifespan.

Of particular interest are supporting families transitioning to parenthood (prenatal and postpartum support), transitions of children leaving the household (empty nesting transition), and supporting families with an aging parent or loss of a loved one.

  • Transitioning to parenting - through the birth of a child or adoption/fostering - is a time of great emotional/physical and relational changes and upheaval. Parents/caregivers can be overwhelmed with an amalgam of feelings that can be confusing and seem contradictory - including but not limited to love and adoration, doubt and fear, a sense of both knowing and incompetency to name a few.

The disorganization that is typical with the arrival of a new baby, also represents a time of great promise and opportunity for healing, re-organization, and ultimately developmental growth for all members of the family.

In-home or in office services available for new parents/caregivers – may include a Newborn Observation (NBO), a Fussy Baby consultation, psychoeducation and support on early infant development and transition into parenthood.

Services for professionals and organizations

  • Infant and early childhood mental health consultation (IECMHC) is a collaborative, relationship-based approach that brings mental health expertise into the settings where young children grow, learn, and develop—such as homes, childcare, and early education programs.

The consultant works with caregivers and professionals to support children's emotional well-being, promote healthy relationships, and address developmental or behavioral concerns in the context of their environment.

  • Reflective practices are methods and techniques that help individuals and groups reflect on their experiences and actions to engage in a process of continuous learning, and professional development. Reflective practice can be described as ‘learning through and from experience towards gaining new insights of self and practice’ (Finlay, 2008).

IECMHC and RPF can be provided to an organization (through groups or 1:1 support) or to individuals seeking to enhance their practice and increase their own personal sense of wellbeing and connection.

Services can be rendered in person or virtually, and fees to be determined on a case by case basis.

  • Organizational coaching supports individuals and teams at all levels as they navigate change, strengthen relationships, and adapt to transitions within their organizations or systems of service. Through reflective dialogue and strategic guidance, coaching fosters connection, builds trust, and helps organizations develop effective programs that align with their values and goals.

“Attachment to a baby is a long-term process, not a single, magical moment. The opportunity for bonding at birth may be compared to falling in love - staying in love takes longer and demands more work.”

It is an approach that integrates core principles of neurodevelopment and traumatology to inform work with children, families and the communities in which they live.” The Neurosequential Network
